Working as part of the Head Office team, as Company Transport & Fleet Compliance Manager, your main function will be the maintenance and effective control of the vehicle operators licences, with a fleet of just over 100 vehicles. You will undertake regular depot audits and report accordingly, with corrective actions and advice as appropriate. Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of vehicle maintenance, drivers hours compliance and ensure that all depots are compliant with company procedures and policies. Ensure compliance with current road transport legislation and internal processes and procedures. Highlight any new legislation and changes to existing legislation. Pro-actively manage and control all aspects of the Group’s Operator’s Licenses including satisfactory OCRS. The role involves travel across the Company's locations.
Main Duties
- Ensuring compliance across the Group with Road Transport Legislation, overseeing all aspects of the Group’s Operator Licenses.
- Drive ongoing improvements in Transport Management in line with best practice.
- Maintain all vehicle related policies and procedures.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation and ensure changes are communicated internally and adhered to.
- Audit all sites according to a schedule agreed with the directors and ensure any corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.
- Conduct investigations into all vehicle accidents together with having a proactive approach with plans on how to reduce the number of accidents.
- Accurate and timely reporting, including monthly board reports.
- Ad-hoc project work as required
You must
- Have demonstratable experiences at a similar level so you can join the team and hit the ground running
- Hold current Transport Manager CPC
- Be a great communicator at all levels
- Have a great understanding of compliance within the fleet and transportation sector and be able to put this into practice within a Wholesale Cash & Carry Environment
- Be IT literate
