Place of work – Bolton (BL6)

Salary £22,880 per annum (pro rata for part time)

Full Time (40 hours) & Part Time (open to discussion around part time hours)

Relief positions available - £11.00 per hour.

This Bolton service is a specialist supported living service and as a Community Support Worker, you will work alongside a group of individuals with Autistic Spectrum Condition, learning and sensory processing difficulties.

Positive Behaviour Support focuses on teaching new skills that reduce challenging behaviour and achieves meaningful outcomes for the people we support.

Our aim is to ensure that staff create and support every opportunity enabling individuals to participate and contribute to all aspects of daily living both at home and in the community. Our approach is always to focus on supporting people to do what they can do and not what they can’t do.

We are looking for someone who has a basic understanding of Autism, experiencing of supporting individuals with epilepsy is desirable, a full driving licence valid in the UK is also desirable (owning a car is not essential). We need someone with a flexible approach as the support can require you to be fully involved in fun in-house or community based leisure activities but may also require a very patient and calm approach to support through specific daily routines. Regular communication and planning with families is a key part of this role.

Nothing less than 100% commitment to the people we support will be acceptable.

Shift hours are between: 07:00 – 22:00, and hours will be scheduled on a rota basis Monday - Sunday including.

Early (e.g. 07.30 – 15.30), Late (e.g. 13.30 – 21.30) and targeted shifts to support individual needs. Flexibility in working patterns is an expectation to ensure we can deliver the right level of support at all times.

All Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS that is paid for by

Supported Living Solutions.
