Job Description
Peartree Community Service (part of Peartree House Rehabilitation) is a highly specialist service providing assessment, treatment, management, and support to people with an acquired brain injury (ABI) or neurological disorder. We provide neuro-rehabilitation and long-term care in our units in Southampton and to individuals in their own homes.
We are recruiting for our client who is in his 60s and lives at home in the Southampton, Netley area with a support package of one staff member on each shift. This is a waking night role starting at 8.00pm with an 8.15am finish, 3 or 4 nights a week. You will be expected to work on a rota basis. You will be expected to work rotational weekends.
The individual you will support will need help with personal hygiene and health. As this is a waking night position, you will also need to assist with the gentleman monitoring and maintaining his tracheostomy and ventilator overnight.
Tracheostomy experience is desired, but full paid training and sign of competency to be provided before starting the role. In this role you will be expected to do deep oral suctioning and RIG care (feeding tube maintenance).

You will be expected to work on a rota basis. You will be expected to work rotational weekends. As our client will need support relatively soon we will only be considering in-country applications.
Rates of pay are £14 an hour, working 12 hours a night, 3 or 4 nights a week.
