BDS have an exciting opportunity for a community response worker to form part of an existing response service in Cheshire East.
The post holder will work from home and respond to emergency call outs and welfare checks to older adults in their own homes . The service supports clients who have recently been discharged from hospital and have had telecare equipment installed. The role holder will respond to calls that have been screened and triaged and an operator feels a physical response is required. All company equipment is provided.
There is no personal care involved.
You will be an approachable and empathetic person who is flexible, committed and reliable. Previous experience in a similar role is not necessary although experience in a care, support work or housing background would be an advantage.
This is a work from home role, where you will be on call between 8am – 8pm or 8pm – 8am. Call outs can vary from 1 to 4 per shift on average, but you will be paid for a guaranteed 12-hour shift regardless if you work just 2 hours a day. Contractually we can offer up to 24 hours per week but there is a chance of overtime if you would be interested in more hours.
A full driving license will be required and access to your own vehicle.
Pay rate is £114 per shift and mileage for callouts is paid at 45ppm.
