Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides child and adult mental health services, learning disability, wellbeing, older people's and eating disorder services across Norfolk and Suffolk.

At any one time, around 23,000 people in Norfolk and Suffolk are receiving care and attention from the Trust. Main duties of the job

West Norfolk CRHT provides 24/7 assessments and interventions as an alternative to hospital admission. In this role you will learn how to carry out assessments, risk management, care planning, and co-ordination of care delivery within a well-resourced team, supported with regular supervision and providing opportunities to work in partnership with health and social care, linking into the wider multi-disciplinary service.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Appropriate Sections of the Mental Health Act (1983)
  • NMC Guidelines on record keeping and administration of medication and other NMC guidelines
  • General principles of Health & Safety at Work Act
Desirable criteria
  • Able to interpret NMC guidelines to personal liability.
  • A clear understanding of mental health presentations.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice
  • Experience in working in a team delivering person centred treatment packages
  • Experience of personal development through appraisal.
Desirable criteria
  • Group work interest / Experience Experience in appropriate area

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Valid registration with NMC
  • Nursing Degree or equivalent

Other

Essential criteria
  • Ability to travel independently ( Full Driving Licence)
Desirable criteria
  • Ability to liaise with statutory / non statutory bodies due to clients’ needs
