The postholder is responsible for assessment of new referrals, managing their own caseload with minimal supervision within a defined geographical area for patients experiencing mental health problems and for promoting and developing the role of community psychiatric nurse in all aspects of mental health care across a variety of care settings i.e. peoples homes, Care Homes, Team Base, Community centres. Post holders will contribute to group work programmes across various settings.
Provision of teaching for Undergraduate Student Nurse.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
