Careline and Community Manager - Tendring District Council
Permanent, Full Time
£50,651 - £53,684 per annum
Location: Clacton on Sea
Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Tendring District Council to recruit into their Careline and Community Manager role.
The Tendring District has many geographic, demographic and economic characteristics that make it distinctive from other areas.

The Council operates a Cabinet system.
The role
The main purpose of this diverse role will be to manage the Council’s Careline, CCTV and Safer Communities services on a day to day basis ensuring that all agreed targets are met including budgetary targets and that statutory regulations and Council policies and procedures are followed. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Tendring Careline
- Provision, maintenance and development of CCTV systems
- Safer Communities
- Out of Hours Service
- Service Development
- Business Continuity
As well as overseeing any enforcement action undertaken by the Community Safety team in accordance with Council’s Enforcement Strategy and the Council’s Corporate priorities in relation to Enforcement.
The potential candidate will also bring extensive knowledge of contract management and commercial experience with them.
The requirements
The ideal candidate will be required to manage and improve all aspects of the work of the section including monitoring overall performance against targets, quality control, procurement, budgetary control, contract delivery, enforcement, administrative and ICT development.
You will have significant experience of working in a busy and diverse environment and will be able to use your experience and knowledge across the teams.
You will be both supported by the friendly teams whilst also able to manage, support and develop staff in your specialist areas of work. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to interpret legislation and provide associated advice to officers.
You must be able to work flexibly.
