Rainbows Hospice is seeking 2 Community Cultural Workers to Join the Family Support Team.
The roles will work together across the East Midlands however each will have a focus on specific localities – The first of the roles will cover Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire and the second Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire (Please state in your application which of the roles and locality would be best suited).
The roles are Part Time Monday- Friday 22.5 hours per week

Developing and maintaining vital links and relationships with culturally diverse communities across the East Midlands. To be responsive to the emerging needs of diverse cultural groups, and act as an ambassador for Rainbows.
To provide cultural support to families that include a child/young person with a life limiting/threatening condition according to their individual needs.
To provide immediate and ongoing support to a family following the death of a child/young person.
To ensure all voices are heard, to include provision of interpretation and translation as appropriate
To support the cultural diversity work across the organisation, influencing and supporting organisational strategy and to ensure culturally appropriate care and support is accessible.
The successful candidate will be fluent in at least 2 community languages for example, Urdu, Gujarati, Hindi or Punjabi in addition to English and have experience of interpreting complex communication.
The Family Support Team at Rainbows is a multi-disciplinary team providing support to families that include a child or young person with a life limiting/threatening condition wherever they are across the East Midlands.
