JOB DESCRIPTION

NWCare are recruiting 4 personal care assistants to help care for a delightful young male adult in the Waterside area of Londonderry-Derry, for a bespoke care package.

This role would suit student nurses and young males interested in a caring role - but is not limited to males only

Duties will include day to day living and outdoor activities. This is a young wheelchair user who lives life to the full and enjoys getting out and about. The successful applicants must hold a full driving licence.

There will be two staff on duty at all times. Times will vary according to rota and there is also a need for overnight care.

Rotas are: Friday - 07:00 until 16:00

Tuesday and Thursday 17:00 - 22:00

ESSENTIAL

  • Full driving licence and access to a motor vehicle
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to promote and deliver person centered care
  • Able to promote dignity and respect when delivering care
  • Be well organised/professional/caring
  • Interested in working in the community within Health and Social Care
  • Care about the community they live in

DESIRABLE

QCF level 3 in H & SC
