Job description
As a result of growth in membership, we are recruiting for an additional UK-based Community and Content Manager. This is a role ideally suited to someone with B2B content, conference production, research or membership/account management experience.
Working within a team of six Community and Content Managers based in the UK and Australia, the position's prime responsibility is to build, maintain and manage relationships with existing members by satisfying their requirements through Risk Leadership Network’s core service offerings.
The position also requires building engagement with and growing a network of risk manager contacts; maintaining and managing relationships with subject matter experts and assisting with acquiring new members.
The role reports to the Senior Community and Content Manager.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Member engagement
- Maintaining close and regular contact with members to understand core risk and business priorities. This will inform several streams of work, including the development of virtual member meetings, intelligence case studies and benchmarking and comparison tools.
- Work collaboratively with members to understand and support their risk management priorities. Develop and deliver targeted activity and content, with the help and support of the team, to support members.
- Work with the Senior Community and Content Manager to manage specific requests and respond efficiently to any member queries. Queries typically relate to current risk management challenges and/or priorities.
- Ensure wide-spread use of services (primarily the Member Portal, virtual meetings, Intelligence platform, benchmarking and comparison tools and private messaging service), among key individuals and other stakeholders within member organisations, in line with member engagement goals.
- Work with the Senior Community and Content Manager and wider team to manage member retention in the lead up to membership renewals.
- Continuously build and maintain a strong network of (non-member) risk manager contacts and subject matter experts across sectors, geographies and expertise who could contribute insights to the network.
- Help acquire new members. This includes highlighting potential prospects and assisting the co-founders and the membership manager with potential membership calls.
- Contribute to and help maintain Risk Leadership Network’s private messaging service including responding to posts and stimulating discussion.
- Assist in updating and maintaining content on the Member Portal.
Virtual meeting management
- Work with the Senior Community and Content Manager to source content for and build & maintain a programme of collaborative member meetings. This includes having regular meetings with members, non-member risk managers and subject matter experts to source ideas.
- Research, source and brief relevant speakers for weekly meetings.
- Manage all virtual meeting communications, including invitations, registrations and follow-up communications, via direct and ‘personalised’ emails.
- Act as the “front of house” representative for Risk Leadership Network’s virtual meeting programme, including compèring up to two virtual meetings a week as the first chair via Zoom.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have had experience in one or more of the following roles:
Content Generation: B2B journalist, editor or analyst with the skill and aptitude to get deeply immersed in a specialist subject matter and to distil and communicate findings through a range of platforms to paying B2B audience groups. Knowledge of risk management and audit/compliance would be beneficial but not vital.
Conference Production: Track record of researching, devising and running highly valued and successful paid-to-attend conferences and building meaningful relationships and networks with subject matter experts.
Membership Management: Background in delivering membership services for non-mandatory professional or advisory organisations with high-value corporate membership fees and offerings.
Person specification
The position would suit a curious, proactive and highly capable individual who is excited about building and serving a global network of risk managers across a range of platforms. The position would also appeal to an individual who would relish being a key member of a growing team, where their opinion matters and who would directly contribute to the development of an ambitious independently owned company. The role requires excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
The successful candidate will need to live in the UK and be able to travel into a central London hub at least once a week.
Candidates who would prefer to work on a flexible i.e. less than a full-time basis will also be considered.
