Communications & Marketing Officer PSC/C25p
Grade J, £36,281 per annum, Permanent (Linked to funding), Full Time, Based in Leeds
Do you want to use your skills in marketing and communications in an exciting and varied role that makes a positive impact for people living and working in West Yorkshire?
We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, enthusiastic, and confident person to join the Combined Authority’s Communications and Marketing Transport team. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with marcomms experience for behaviour change with an ability to juggle multiple campaigns and projects to tight deadlines.
This is a diverse role, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in an extensive range of exciting transport projects including work under Metro, MCard and Leeds City Park & Ride brands.
The role
Your key responsibilities will include:
- You will plan, manage, deliver, and evaluate marketing and communication and PR campaigns for a range of audiences to increase patronage and sales of multi-operator tickets.
- You will work with a number of internal and external stakeholders, elected members and the West Yorkshire Mayor to provide communications and marketing solutions for transport related schemes and projects.
- You will be expected to write copy and content for a range of communications for on and offline media including e-newsletters, blogs, website content, marketing collateral and publications
- You will manage transport related digital, web and social communications to increase engagement and ensure service and product information is accurate and is serving passenger needs.

About you
You will have the following key skills, education, attributes, and experience:
- Knowledge and experience of full multi-channel marketing and PR campaign management including writing briefs and managing agencies, stakeholder mapping, customer profiling, research, analysis, and report writing
- You will be an ambitious, results-focused individual, proficient at campaign and media management and working flexibly with a range of partners.
- Experience of working successfully in a partnership environment with many stakeholders.
- Ability and confidence to advise senior figures both within and outside an organisation.
- A keen understanding of promotion methods and tailoring these for difference audiences.
