We’ve got a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Marketing & Communications Consultant to join the Clandon Park project team.
Working as part of a large, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll be responsible for telling the story of our work and building support and engagement, both within the Trust and publicly.
In April 2015 a huge blaze gutted Clandon house, leaving it open to the skies. Our project seeks to bring the house back into use, creating a place to explore its history and making. Click here to find out more.
This is a full time (37.5 hours per week), fixed term contract for 12 months, starting as soon as possible.

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Project Director, you’ll work closely with our team Curators, Project Managers and Community Engagement Manager to devise and deliver comprehensive, creative engagement plans which are grounded in a participative and inclusive approach.

The project team is based in Surrey/London. The role is flexible in terms of working pattern and remote/hybrid working arrangements can be discussed at interview. Fairly frequent travel to the project area will be required.
What you'll be doing:You’ll collaborate with colleagues in our central and regional communications teams to ensure our work on the project is aligned with the Trust’s strategic objectives, managing risk and identifying opportunities for national storytelling moments.
It's a strategic role, responsible for leading our approach with key senior stakeholders and our broad range of audiences, from National Trust members to specialists in architecture, conservation, design and heritage. It’s also a practical role in which you’ll lead the development and delivery of key messages, communications materials and tools, and stakeholder events.

- Creative content creation: experience of briefing and managing third parties to create multimedia content
