Communications Manager, Diversity Equity and Inclusion
Location: GSK House, Brentford
Job Purpose

We are looking for an impact-driven and proactive communication professional with a genuine interest and belief in DEI to be involved in developing and executing the global internal and external communications strategy to highlight GSK as an action-orientated and impact-driven DEI leader through our work to connect DEI to our purpose: to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.
This role sits in the Responsible Business team within Corporate Affairs, working closely with Global Digital Communications colleagues, Global and US media colleagues, Global Government Affairs and the content and campaigns team. The role involves business partnering with multiple Global and US teams across key focus areas: People, Health Equity, STEM Equity, Clinical Trial Diversity and Supplier Diversity.
You will have a proven ability to build trust and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, knowledge or understanding of the external context of DEI that spans beyond the People agenda and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and across functions in a large, complex business.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and delivery of the DEI communications and engagement plan.
Update and maintain the comms planner and external landscape grid by working with colleagues to track and manage the news and policy flow for DEI activity that aligns with our strategy.
Manage day-to-day external communications and engagement activity for DEI, developing content, managing inquiries and issues, partnering with key leaders on executive visibility and developing/maintaining relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Working with the relevant other Communications and Government Affairs teams to develop briefs and communication plans for campaigns.
Manage the development and creation of compelling content for internal and external channels to support the DEI agenda, including flagship activities hosted by our employee resource groups.
Support in the creation of DEI content for the Annual and ESG reports as well as indices and other disclosures, including the DEI pages on gsk.com.
Work with colleagues in the digital team to measure and report on the impact of DEI campaigns across internal and external audiences and use the insight to report on performance and develop best practices for future campaigns.
Share insights on key developments in the DEI landscape related to GSK's strategy, enabling rapid and appropriate response if needed, including developing reactive positions.

Prior experience in a large, complex organisation
Experience in the biopharma or health sector is advantageous but not essential
