£23,300 per year – Communications Manager - full-time role
Join Little Lives UK as the full-time charity Communications Manager at our Wallisdown head office. This role is in person at our head office in Wallisdown, Poole, five days a week.

The Communications Manager role is a varied one and requires skills in different areas of work but the main responsibilities are:
Ø Booking donation collections for clothes and electronics
Ø Managing social media accounts, including creating content for them
Ø Attending PR and donation events with organisations we work with on behalf of the charity
Ø Maintaining Little Lives UK’s public image
Ø Writing blogs for the charity
Ø Writing social media posts for the charity
Ø Managing the hiring of interns and volunteers
Ø Managing interns and volunteers
Ø Answering emails and phone calls from customers, donators, companies or people interested in the charity
Ø Help to plan fundraising events
Ø Help to apply for fundraising opportunities or grants
Ø Work with the directors and management on charity projects
Ø Attend meetings with other companies and charities
Ø Liaising with other companies and other charities about supporting each other
Ø Present to judging panels, schools, donors and companies when required
Ø General public relations
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with working both individually and in a team to a high standard that reflects well on the charity. We are a small charity that works within the community to ensure that as many children as possible are offered the support and access to services they need.
We work with both small companies and large companies to ensure this happens. We are looking for a Communications Manager who can seamlessly converse with different people in different circumstances to create good working relationships. We are looking for someone who is good at working in a team but can also think for themselves.
We are open over bank holidays and throughout the Christmas period. 28 days holiday a year including bank holidays. There is free parking at the office and casual dress code.
