Services Communication Intern
Salary: £22,000 (pro rata)
Location: Bournemouth (hybrid)
The Vacancy
We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Communications and Engagement team on an 8-week summer internship programme.
McCarthy Stone’s internship programme will provide you with the opportunity to gain first class industry experience while earning a competitive salary. Taking part in our intern programme will enable you to add practical experience to your CV and will ensure you have a deep understanding of our business and how we operate.
As a Communications Intern, you will work closely with the Colleague Engagement Manager and the wider team to support the planning for the Financial Year Kick Off Events. This will include helping to produce content for the event and specifically a video capturing milestones from the past 12 months as well as event logistics and communications.
The Internship Programme:

Taking part in our intern programme will enable you to add practical experience to your CV and will ensure you have a deep understanding of our business and how we operate.
Alongside your role, you will be part of a cohort of interns that will enable you to start building your professional network. There will be Learning and Development opportunities to get involved with throughout your internship, including insight and skills sessions and ‘lunch and learns‘ on key business topics.
The 8-week summer internship programme will run between 3rd July - 25th August 2023.
About You
- Studying towards a degree, ideally in Communications or similar discipline and on target for a minimum of a 2:2
- Experience of producing and editing videos
- 3 x A Levels (A – C)
- GCSE in English and Maths
You will be:

- Computer literate and has experience in Microsoft Office software and ideally Adobe Premiere Pro video editing software
