Position Overview
  • Responsible for the coordination of external campaign communications for donor engagement.
  • Experience in copy/content writing on a deadline.
  • Responsible for acquiring excellent working knowledge of all TBC software utilized for communication as well as be able to analyze effectiveness of communication.
  • Subject matter expert and be able to train others in the usage of communication software as well as be able to function as part of a team that is highly adaptable to market trends.
Essential Functions
  • Utilization of donor management system to create and maintain campaigns and communications
  • Utilization of logistics calendar management system to check blood drive information for messaging
  • Creative content writing for varying messaging channels including texts, emails, call scripts, and direct mail
  • Assists in social media as needed
  • Coaches and trains others in usage of software at direction of Management
  • Provides weekly reporting on communications
  • Schedules communications according to the communication calendar set by Communications and Customer Service Supervisor
  • Creates mailing lists and mail merge documents for postcard, email, and other direct mail campaigns
  • Submits all direct mail materials to third party vendor for mailing
  • Writes and strategizes content for unplanned needs/pleas on a tight deadline
  • Provides monthly reporting on communications and campaign success
  • Contributes to the overall goals of donor engagement
  • Attends educational programs and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications
  • College degree preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in copy/content writing
  • 1-2 years’ experience in CRM/email/SMS system management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Very knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office, including mail merge functions and mail list creation with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
