Overview of The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications, you will support the Company’s external communication initiatives, contributing to both safeguarding and enhancing its corporate brand image and reputation as a good employer and corporate citizen. As part of your role, you will develop and maintain communication plans and tools in support of Corporate Communications and other corporate teams. Striving to engage all Company stakeholders, you will be crafting and editing communications, developing support materials, and participating in the design and distribution of multiple assets in multiple languages.
How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:
- Work within a team and apply critical thinking to communicate information effectively;
- See to the upkeep and protection of the Company's brand image in all communication elements, including the quality of communication tools;
- Support Corporate Communications and other corporate teams to ensure consistency and excellence in the execution of communication initiatives;
- Effectively and accurately manage general inquiries, media monitoring, media requests, and the distribution of press releases;
- Assist in maintaining the Company’s editorial calendar to maximize the impact of each communication;
- Provide support for the crisis management team;
- Craft a variety of materials, including speeches, reports, holding statements, key messages, and presentations in English and French;
- Coordinate the translation of texts, carry out revision and quality control of these texts, and oversee the development of creative assets, as required, with external suppliers;
- Partake in various Corporate Communications-led initiatives, events, and any other related tasks.
You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field;
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar position;
- Excellent oral and written skills in French and English, including grammar;
- Superior attention to detail and excellence in ensuring continuity of content and messaging;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy and the ability to maintain complete discretion;
- Past experience in external communications is considered an asset;
- Experience in PowerPoint is considered an asset;
- Excellent judgment, resourcefulness, and self-reliance;
- Ability to manage several projects at once and to work under pressure;
- Ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders and ensure deadlines are met;
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage priorities;
- Team spirit.
In the course of his/her duties, the incumbent will be called upon to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada and North America.
