We’re seeking a talented storytelling ninja, capable of developing thoughtful and engaging executive content and serve as a thought partner and trusted advisor to a variety of senior executives within our Sales organization. Reporting into the Global CO/Market Communications organization (within Corporate Affairs), the Executive Communications Lead will drive the creation of compelling keynote presentations, social media content, longform byline articles, and key narratives for earned media interviews.
The ideal candidate is a passionate, driven self-starter with excellent communication skills, stellar writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong social and digital skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a complex environment supporting various stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Drive end-to-end thought leadership strategies across multiple executive platforms.
- Own and drive measurable results across earned, paid, shared and owned media channels for assigned executives.
- Create thought provoking and compelling mainstage keynote presentations.
- Provide counsel on stage presence, slide design, and end-to-end story arc.
- Drive and own the development of key narratives, messaging, Q&As, story pitches, byline articles/opinion pieces and social media content in partnership with HP agencies.
- Craft high-impact, creative short-form content for executive LinkedIn platforms.
- Seek a thorough understanding of business priorities and challenges to influence narratives, messages and thought leadership strategies.
- Develop spokesperson briefing materials, coverage reports and quarterly reports.
- Reports to Head of Americas Communications/Office of the CCO
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications (preferred).
- 8-10 years of Executive Communications experience.
- Proven experience in supporting senior executive external communication strategies.
- Name brand, tech brand or tech PR agency experience.
- Mix of in-house and agency experience a plus.
- Self-starter with ability to work effectively in a hybrid team.
- Excellent writing and editing skills and ability to craft executive-ready content.
- Media-savvy with an understanding of the evolving media landscape.
- Blend of strategic mindset with hands-on communications skills.
- Ability to build relationships with key journalists and influencers.
- Exceptional project management and prioritization skills.
- Strong communications and presentation skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work across time zones on a global team.
