J ob Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, Development & Strategic Partnerships, and working
closely with the Director of Development and Outreach, this position will oversee management of the
d onor database, coordinate specific communication and social media initiatives, and provide
administrative support for the Development & Communications team. This position is full-time and
primarily remote, with travel to our office one to two times per week. We provide all technology to
support your work and onboarding process, including norms for working and building relationships
among our team.
E ssential Job Duties
D evelopment
- Institutional fundraising and supporting grant lifecycle: application submissions and deadlines,
- Provide donor/prospect research and fundraising reports as requested
- Annotate registration lists for all development-related events
- Create meeting prep sheets for donor meetings and annual board check-ins
- D atabase & Records Management
- O versee management of fundraising database, keep constituent and gift records current;
- Maintain careful records of all interactions and correspondences with funders, prospects,
- Facilitate gift acknowledgment process including gift e ntry for all individual contributions to
- Manage tracking systems for fundraising progress towards monthly and annual goals, and
- Assist the Development team as needed to fundraise for specific programs or projects
- Assist team in all development-related events
- Assist with the production of annual appeals (segmented direct mail, digital appeals, and all
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of communications activities
- Assist in writing, updating, and publishing website, social media, blog, event pages, and
- A ssist with other external and internal communications duties as needed.
- Collect required data from program participants and work with participants to complete
- Three to five years of experience
- Demonstrated ability to work productively with diverse demographics
- Utilize relevant visualization and storytelling technology and tools, including Adobe Suite
- Database acumen, including Content Management Systems, spreadsheets, etc
- Familiarity with grant writing and reporting
- Must be able to multi-task and respond appropriately to deadlines.
Travel and Weekend Work:
On occasion, fulfillment of this role will require travel and weekend work. At most, this will happen once
m onthly.
Compensation : Salary Range: $54,000 to $75,000 DOE not including a possible bonus. Robust
