The Senior Communications Manager will be providing support to Doka USA and Doka Canada with all external corporate communications needs and strategies. The ideal candidate will be eager to join an exciting and dynamic work environment and who also personifies Doka’s values of collaboration, innovation and quality of work. This is a hybrid role with flexibility in terms of travel into the office. This role will be reporting into our HQ Communications team located in Amstetten, Austria but will be based domestically in the USA.
Responsibilities
- Execute strategic external communication plans and campaigns to enhance the company's brand image and reputation in North America (70% USA and 30% Canada)
- Create compelling press releases, and other communication materials to effectively communicate key messages to the media and external stakeholders
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets to secure positive media coverage and build strong media partnerships
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks for proactive communication strategies
- Execute crisis communication plans, providing timely and effective communication during challenging situations in close collaboration with HQ Corporate Communications
- Planning, further development, and support of internal communication measures within Doka as a member of the global communication team
- Active research on topics and creation of content for the internal communication platform we2gether
- Regular exchange with headquarters in Austria
Qualifications and Technical Proficiency
- College degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Communications professional or within content creation
- Excellent communication skills and an impeccable eye for detail
- High Ability to think strategically, implement creative concepts and methods within the corporate framework
- Strong familiarity with the US/Canadian media landscape, with a specific emphasis on construction industry magazines, is regarded as a valuable asset
- Project management skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and reliability
