About the Position
As a member of the LivingWorks Communications Team, the Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the creation,
implementation, and evaluation of LivingWorks promotional materials, campaigns, and corporate storytelling internally and
externally. This role requires creativity and the creation of compelling content for digital and traditional marketing, public
relations, and internal communications.
Key Accountabilities
- Content creation - Write digital and traditional content for a wide variety of audiences that enhances LivingWorks’
- Create, implement, and evaluate marketing and communication assets, including;
o White papers, infographics, videos, fact sheets and conference materials
o Campaign and corporate storytelling for internal stakeholders such as IT and People & Culture
- Support and assist with the planning and execution of LivingWorks special events, conferences, and celebrations
- Collaborate with LivingWorks team members to conduct market research
o Recommend effective and competitive communications tactics for LivingWorks initiatives to increase
brand awareness and engagement
o Work proactively to draft and propose communication campaigns, including social and online media,
print media, direct email, and multimedia
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the success of digital and traditional campaigns
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- A Marketing/Communications Portfolio (e.g., internal/external newsletters, advertising, speeches, press releases,
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing or communications is considered an asset
Competencies and Attributes:
- Strong Interviewing and journalism skills to turn stories into compelling content
- Effective verbal communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations
- Knowledge of communication principles and best practices
- The ability to develop credibility with internal and external customers
- Compassionate understanding of the issues of suicide and mental health
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to flexibly meet deadlines
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
