Job description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Receives calls of routine and emergency natures from students, staff, and others with accuracy, speed, and confidence. Gathers sufficient information to assure an appropriate response.
Monitors College video surveillance systems, emergency telephone lines and fire/intrusion/panic alarms.
Exercises sound judgment to evaluate each situations circumstance and prioritize the need for immediate or emergency service.
Dispatches the assistance of appropriate services such as public safety, facilities management or other departmental personnel; or local, state, or federal public safety or health organizations. Determines the level of response which may be necessary.
Maintains a log of daily calls, completes related reports, and performs other general office work. Cleans and maintains the equipment and work area.
Operates a two-way communication system.
Processes and maintains transportation fleet requests, usage records, and parking registrations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
