Job description

The Faculty of Law is seeking to appoint a Communications Assistant who will play a key role in the communications function at the Faculty of Law and provide vital support to the Communications Manager in implementing the Faculty communications strategy. The Communications Assistant will support the Faculty in its initiatives on equality and diversity, access and outreach, as well supporting a range of external and internal communications, working in digital and print media.
Successful applications should be educated to A-level or have equivalent professional experience; have demonstrable experience of the use of social media; excellent writing skills and attention to detail; experience of using digital design applications, such as Adobe InDesign or Canva; excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to learn and use digital communication tools. Experience of working in a large organisation and/or in higher education and of video editing software is desirable.
The post is permanent and full time. The postholder will be based in the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.
