An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and creative individual to join the Communication, Arts, Health Charity and Engagement Services of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
We are seeking an experienced and professional Communications Assistant to join our Health Charity and provide high-quality communications services to increase awareness and understanding of the charity and its impact.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual with experience of creating brilliant communication content for different audiences and using different platforms, as well as meeting competing demands. Excellent communication, IT skills and advanced knowledge and experience of social media and website development and maintenance is essential.
The role is interesting and varied and you will be required to be flexible to meet the needs of the service, and will enjoy working as part of a busy team.
Previous experience of working in the NHS is advantageous.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This post is fixed term for 9 months due to Project Work.
The main purpose of the role is to support the Senior Communications Officer to extend the reach and visibility of Cardiff & Vale Health Charity with the aim of increasing awareness and understanding of the charity and its impact, and to raise and distribute funds to enhance our local NHS services.
Working closely with the Senior Communications Officer, Head of Arts and Health Charity, and the charity’s fundraising team, the post holder will support the provision of a comprehensive and high-quality communications services.
The aim is to promote the work of the charity, tell the story of fundraisers and supporters, as well as the impact of charitable expenditure on the lives of NHS patients, service users and staff.
The Communications Assistant post will deal with enquiries from staff, media, social media and stakeholders; deliver written, audio, design and video content for different platforms; and support events. Also directly support communications campaigns and support information for website and internet.
