Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a communications strategy that aligns to the Microsoft UK Engineering Leadership Team’s goals and priorities, as well as the broader MSFT community in collaboration with other stakeholders
- Define the communications calendar for key themes and engagements, and work closely with the business management community to cascade within the team
- Use data and insights to develop storytelling opportunities in a variety of mediums: presentations, talking points/briefs for speeches/Q&A sessions, emails, the SharePoint portal and video scripts
- Target communications to a variety of forums/audiences including internal (Teams posts, newsletters, website spotlights, and ad hoc communications from executives) and external (social media content, executive level keynotes, customer engagements, and conferences).
- Monitor and analyze the impact of messaging for a given issue, then create responses as needed.
- Plan events throughout the year including:
- Engineering summit/conference and Hack events
- External and internal speaker events
- Other meetings – We hold various other ad hoc meetings throughout the year.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to run UK engineering employee experience programs from initiation to delivery. (E.g.UK Pride Month celebrations).
- Support and contribute to the definition and tracking of success criteria and performance metrics.
