COMMIS PASTRY CHEF
JOB DESCRIPTION
Pastry Chef (Patissier)
A pastry Chef works under the direction of the Pastry Assistant Chef or Head Pastry Chef.
· Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, biscuit, ice cream, macaron tower etc. following French traditional and modern recipes.
· Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
· Monitor stocks for raw ingredients such as flour, sugar and mise en place (glaze, butter cream etc.)
· Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
· Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
· Great attention to detail
· In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
· Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
· Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field
· Must wear a clean uniform, short nails, showered.
· Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £23,000.00-£23,500.00 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
