Novotel Paddington Village - Legacy Hotels and Resorts Limited have a rare opportunity for an Commis Chef to join our high calibre team in a well-established global brand. This role gives a keen Commis chef chance to learn and develop in a brand new hotel with the opportunity to learn from industry leading chefs. Being part of the kitchen team will drive the opening of the brand-new Novotel Liverpool Padding Village. Upon opening, the hotel will boast 221 bedrooms across 16 floors, a variety of sophisticated meeting rooms, a 53sqm Gym and ground floor coffee shop. Role Overview To deliver and prepare food and to assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in all culinary aspects ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Duties and Responsibilities include: Prepare all food for service Prepare the vegetables and salads, help cook the starters and deserts and depending on your experience Report for duty in good time, clean and tidy wearing the correct uniform Strive to anticipate customer needs whenever possible and react to enhance customer satisfaction Treat customers and colleagues in a polite and courteous manner at all times. Give full co-operation to any customer or colleague requiring assistance in a prompt, caring manner Perform all tasks to a consistent standard as detailed within the Department of the Hotel Positively contribute to the sales activities within your Department/Hotel and maximise sales opportunities and to be knowledgeable of Company products Minimise operating costs by using all equipment and products in accordance with Company or manufacturers guidelines Report all maintenance requirements and hazards in the workplace to the Sous Chef or Head Chef Comply with statutory and legal requirements for fire, health & safety, food safety, licensing and employment What's in it for you?
