Commercial Trading Analyst - Evolution & Decommissioning
- Driving full integration of channels and products to best serve our business, government, and wholesale customers in the UK and internationally.

You will support in the championing of the revenue streams of the future and trade them accordingly; ability to work and operate as a small business within a business that has the magnitude of BT will be crucial along with an ability to ruthlessly prioritise as the opportunities to go after are vast and wide reaching. Finally, this team will have the responsibility for Trading the decommissioning plans that come out of the Commercial and Props function, making sure we have a clear trading strategy to deliver the numbers, understand the levers available and can flex the plans according to the demands of the wider P&L.
- Using insights, analysis and market expertise, support the trading managers on the creation of customer interventions (marketing, price, sales incentives, etc) as required to ensure we achieve the SMB targets – providing insight on performance against specific volume and value targets.
- Working alongside our cross channel trading teams and sales teams to ensure we have a clear understanding and insight on the current blockers / influences for driving our future revenue streams i.e. Security and also decommissioning our legacy revenue streams i.e. Plusnet
- Involved in the execution of campaigns including uploading leads onto SFDC, incentives, producing collateral for any regular governance forums and sales launch sessions for any interventions
- Support in the contribution to the MTP process – consideration of the pricing approach, how we acquire from our competitors and retain our base? How we resign, upsell and grow share of wallet with existing customers? How we ensure that our plan delivers profitable growth (where possible)?
- Effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across SMB and BT Business
- Demonstrable communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Sound numerical / data analytic skills to support commercial decisions taking into account the external landscape
- Experience of SMB products and propositions, the external market and the competitor environment
- Understanding of pricing and commercial principles and experience in a market facing commercial role
