We are looking for a
Commercial Telesales Manager
Location: Home Based with some UK Travel Reporting to: Commercial Director
The Role
As part of this role, you will be responsible for the conception and implementation of a strategic plan to develop accounts, drive new business and achieve targets with our Commercial customers. You will achieve the business objectives by coaching, developing, motivating, and supporting your team of Homebased Telephone Account Managers and Telephone New Business Consultants. A key part of the Commercial Telesales Manager role is to develop the strategic direction of the business, demonstrate leadership, act as role model and support company values across your team.
A typical week as a Commercial Telesales Manager might involve
- Plan and communicate clear objectives for your team, drive and achieve KPI’s and support the performance of individuals and the team
- Side by side phone coaching sessions with your team, identifying key strengths and areas for improvement with a view to driving consistent quality of conversations
- Weekly KPI catch ups with your team, highlighting and celebrating strong performance and helping drive improvement
- Conducting regular ‘How’s it Going’ meetings with your team to help unlock their potential and support their individual development
- Motivating the team to achieve productivity, retention and sentiment targets
- Clearly and succinctly delivering key operational messages back to your team
- Conducting interviews and assessment days to ensure the quality of new recruits is of the highest possible standard
- Planning and execution of relevant and effective monthly team meetings
- Manage the day to day relationships with internal teams and external parties to support wider strategy
- Attend and contribute to monthly Sales Leader & Operational Meetings
- Support the field-based Area Directors and their teams to achieve wider commercial goals
We’re looking for someone who
- Proven track record of successfully increasing revenue and delivering results within a sales team
- The ability to think on their feet and look at new ways to drive results
- Proven track record in leading a team of sales account managers
- A competent user of Excel and PowerPoint
- High level of self-organisation, planning and motivation
- Be an expert in the sales process, spot training gaps and create change through effective coaching
- Excellent communicator with the ability to engage and influence both verbally and written
- Have initiative and be able to think independently with the ability to lead a team and drive great ways of working
- Is comfortable with numbers and targets and can focus and motivate a team to achieve them
- Works well with other key stakeholders and can confidently deliver key information.
- Can ask for help where required
- Has high expectations of great performance in their team and is relentless and tenacious in pursuit of it
- Can integrate into a hardworking and dynamic management group and contribute from day one
