JOB PURPOSE
The UK Food service and Export team manage Buying groups, Regional wholesalers, National delivered wholesalers, OOH / QSR customers as well as distributors for Export Worldwide.
The team sell core brands – Branston, Sarson’s, Haywards and also the Mizkan chef range of Japanese ingredients. Branston is the number 1 sweet pickle in the UK, Sarson’s is the oldest and best established malt vinegar in the UK (even older than the concept of Fish & Chips, where it is a key ingredient). Mizkan chef brands are sold in the Non-Traditional RTM helping chefs to Japanese their food.
Purpose
Working with the Account controller, this role will deliver a business plan for the next 12 months based on the current template and from recent data. This needs to be achieved within 6 weeks.
THE ROLE/KEY ACCCOUNTABILITIES
The business plan will include channel analysis and recommendations (including price alignment), promotions calendar (already in place but need to be incorporated in the working document), potential Risks and Opportunities (SWOT analysis), channel promotional activities amongst other.
This is a short term placement (6 weeks), so will require the candidate to get involved early to achieve the results. Expectation – 1 week induction and 5 weeks for delivery.

The Profile
There will be support from Commercial Finance, Sales, and Marketing teams. The applicant must have an academic background in business / economics / finance (current student or recent graduate) and some experience in a business environment, with analysis and creative thinking key strengths alongside the ability to use MS Excel and MS PowerPoint proficiently. The role also requires effective time management and progress tracking. These qualities must be demonstrated in your application.
