About Us:

Stockport County FC have recently been promoted to League Two in the EFL. The club is built on a loyal and dedicated fan base with an average home attendance of 7,000 fans. It plays a key role at the heart of the community bringing together groups, fans and players of all ages.

The new club owner Mark Stott has ambitious plans to return Stockport County to the Championship within 7 years. This exciting new chapter on the pitch will include new signings and significant investment in football infrastructure, including a dedicated new training facility. Focus and investment off the pitch will see improvements to retail and hospitality facilities that will enhance the matchday experience.

Responsibilities & Duties:

This role entails:

  • Be the first point of contact for all commercial enquires.
  • Conduct sales calls, set up appointments, send out commercial proposals with support from the Head of Commercial.
  • Ensure administration duties are completed in line with the relevant commercial process and procedures including updating the commercial spreadsheet, inventory spreadsheet, issuing commercial agreements and coordinating with the Finance Department regarding any invoicing needs.
  • Help and support with matchday operations.
  • Support with collating matchday adverts and logos from match day sponsors for the programme.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Attend and support with networking events.
  • Help and assist the Supporter Services Department and provide ticketing support.
  • Ensure the happiness and wellbeing of all clients on a match-day, utilising the hospitality team to maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the arrangement of corporate events.
  • Oversee and manage the mascot package booking process.
  • Working on match days to ensure all the hospitality runs smoothly.

Experience and skills

Although not essential, the ideal candidate will need to be comfortable working in an office environment, and operating phones. They will also possess excellent organisational skills and be confident working in a fast-paced environment. An understanding of sports clubs is an advantage but is not essential, however good computer skills and a good level of numeracy and literacy are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20,000.00-£24,500.00 per year
