The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our business based in Farnborough, working on a hybrid basis (home and office), providing legal and administrative support to the Group Legal Director.
The position is a group role, working across a thriving trade association with a commercial subsidiary which owns and organises small and large scale events across the globe.
Hours are 15 hours per week (working days to be discussed).
The role reports to the Group Legal Director with no direct reports.
The Responsibilities
As a Paralegal, you will help support the day-to-day legal needs across the business which will include:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts and other documents
- Ensuring accurate records are maintained including contracts, proposals and any amendments
- Reviewing terms and conditions or other contractual document which originate from suppliers, providing advice on risks to the business
- Reviewing and completing documents originating from clients
- Support the Group Legal Director in any major project and ensuring processes and procedures adhere to ISO9001 and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Act as a point of contact when the Group Legal Director is away from the business
- Help maintain template documents
The Skills & Competencies
- Experienced in reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver time critical reports and reviews
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Any event industry experience would be desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property and Data Protection would also be desirable but not essential
The Contract & Benefits
Salary; £12,000 per annum (based on the FTE salary £30,000)
Contract; Permanent, part-time role
Hours; 15 hours per week, over 2 to 4 days per week (flexible)
Location; Hybrid working- Farnborough office and from home (flexible)
