Commercial Officer
Purpose of the Role
Represent AirTanker’s commercial interests and provide commercial support to the assigned Business Stream(s)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine contract management activities including the management of service credits and sustainment monitoring
- Build knowledge of AirTanker’s contractual documents and disseminate this within the organisation
- Provide support on a range of commercial and contractual issues as required
- Represent the commercial position of AirTanker towards customers, Primary Sub-Contractors and other suppliers
- Generate proposals and business evaluations for customer offerings
- Draft and support the negotiation of customer agreements
- Provide support to the Supply Chain team in the review and negotiation of supplier agreements
- Liaise with subject matter experts within AirTanker for advice on specialist topics
- Support the generation and maintenance of commercial procedures and processes
The Individual
Essential job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment
- Educated to degree, HNC/HND or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a customer-facing role and working with contracts
- Demonstrable experience of performing complex business administration activities
- High levels of drive and a proven ability to get things done
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity
- Demonstrates attention to detailDesirable job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment
- Undertaken formal training in commercial and contract management
- Demonstrable experience of commercial fundamentals: drafting and interpreting contracts, generating priced proposals, negotiation and contract management
- Experience of establishing and improving commercial processes and procedures
