Job description
The Content Products Commercial team have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished commercial professional. The role is responsible for planning customer sales and retention strategies for Sky Cinema and is pivotal to quarterly and annual planning processes. The role involves crafting insight-led bottom up performance forecasts, along with the strategies, toolkits, and ideas to improve outcomes. The role also involves time on key strategic side-projects, including existing customer engagement strategies, and tactical test and learn / in quarter optimisation.
What you'll do:
- Forecasting – Build and own robust Cinema forecasts, with detail down to the driver level
- Optimisation – Optimise the plans (e.g. call routing, offer toolkits, RTM performance) to ensure the best possible in-quarter trading result
- Diagnosis – Work with the Trading teams to diagnose performance issues as they arise, and embed learnings into future quarterly plans
- Strategy – Set strategic direction for sales and retention of Sky Cinema, working with a matrix of partners
- Stakeholders - Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders in Sky Cinema in-quarter Trading teams and across the organisation
What you'll bring:
- Education to degree level or highly relevant compensating work experience
- An excellent strategic problem solver with an inquisitive mind
- Highly analytical, commercially-minded and proactive individual with good presentation skills and the ability to step back to see the bigger picture and simplify the complex
- Comfortable working with large MS Excel models and analyses; able to roll detail up to compelling presentations and stories
- Experience operating in a highly-pressurised environment which demands flexibility and multi-tasking
- Exceptional interpersonal, influencing and relationship management skills at all levels
- Communicate in a way that inspires the wider team and influences at HOD and Director level
- Strong knowledge of competitive landscape and potential threats and opportunities
