Sustainability, everyone is talking about it, but do they really understand it? This role gives you the opportunity to be at the forefront of creating the circular economy and ensuring we don’t need to jet off to Mars anytime soon. Our commercial manager identifies and maintains reliable, durable and profitable offtake arrangements across the country. We would love a commercially minded individual who has a real drive for wasting absolutely nothing.

Our commercial manager has a strong continuous improvement approach to materials trading as well as a reactive flexibility to business needs. You'll have a dynamic approach in looking for ways to improve the business profits, to track market trends in recyclates, and actively network within the wider waste management industry- to both understand the market and to develop market contacts.

Above all else, safety is at the heart of everything we do here. You will promote a positive outlook of working with a safety-first mentality. This goes further than just Renewi colleagues. You will be the face of Renewi and will be liaising regularly with bodies such as ESA, EA, Defra, CIWM, CCIC, PIRAP, WRAP and Recycling Association, aiming to positively influence future industry legislation and the circular economy.

• Previous experience in a commercial management position
• Member or working towards membership of CIWM
• Degree qualified or similar in an environmental or business subject
• Proven track record of working to clearly defined KPIs, and delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment
• Ability to influence key stakeholders to ensure business profits are enhanced through market savvy agreements
