Freedom's Infrastructure Services are looking for a Commercial Manager to be based at either of our Stowmarket, Dartford or London offices to cover the commercial aspects within the Division including maintenance frameworks, minor projects and electrical works. (Hybrid role, Office and Home working available)
To commercially manage all aspects of a diverse suite of framework contracts in the Southern and Northern region, reporting to Senior Commercial Manager.
The main duties will include;
- Manage members of staff upto Senior QS level
- Attend internal / external meetings as the commercial lead
- Work closely with Operations Director
- Forecast, monitor and manage budgets across the Division
- Review legalities and contract clauses to mitigate risk, engaging with Legal Counsel.
- Contribute towards Quantity Surveying function to support the team during periods of annual leave.
- Manage budgets and work processing on maintenance contracts.
- Proactively work to quickly resolve live commercial issues within the department.
- Identify, manage and report on the delivery of key contractual obligations.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and suppliers.
- Supervise and manage the cost value reporting process, including compiling the reports.
- Raise timely and accurate notifications, applications and invoices to clients.
- Measurement and valuations of works for applications, variations and final accounts with both clients and suppliers.
- Ensure we are recovering maximum value on all contracts.
- Supply chain and procurement activities.
- Conduct site visits.
- Manage large volumes of data in Microsoft Excel
- Involvement with PQQ and tender submissions
- Escalate commercial matters as appropriate.
- Provide innovative ideas and continuous improvements
- Effective communication with various levels of personnel, internal and external
- Provide turnover and cash-flow forecasts
- Significant Experience of responsibility for the commercial performance of projects
- Experience of successfully managing a team.
- Relevant BSC / degree / equivalent
- Experience with Civil Engineering and Construction projects
