About the Role:
This is a great opportunity to join the senior leadership team at our chilled soups & sauces site in Grimsby. Reporting to the Commercial Director, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the site commercial agenda, with full P&L responsibility for several major retail customers, working to improve profitability and increase market share.
- Developing and implementing the three-year plan and being the ‘go to’ person onsite for all commercial related matters.
- Partnering with customers to deliver exceptional levels of service while looking for opportunities to develop further business and maximising sales opportunities.
- Working collaboratively with other senior managers and colleagues, ensuring effective communication between NPD, Innovation, and Category Management teams, to meet customers’ requirements.
- Reporting regularly on business performance, highlighting opportunities and potential risks, and working proactively to optimise revenue and profit.
About You:
- Prior experience of working in a commercial role in food manufacturing, with chilled foods experience being ideal.
- Demonstrable experience of working closely with major retailers, with a track record of increasing revenue and achieving targets.
- Commercially focused, highly numerate, able to understand P&L and able to analyse and interpret data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with and, where appropriate, challenge colleagues at all levels to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Experience of presenting confidently to customers at senior level.
- Proactive in approach and with the confidence to work with a high level of autonomy.
- IT literate, ideally with experience of using SAP.
