Commercial Intern

The Purpose:
This role is to provide bespoke research and analysis to support Alliances and Partnerships.
The Role:
- Developing a sound grasp of the range of research resources available to the team, and building a good working knowledge of the most regularly used sources.
- Analysing large data sets to provide credible arguments for use in sales presentations.
- Undertaking market research to support sales arguments.
- Supporting on Partnerships data requests, including market data and activation results.
- Using Partner results to create compelling case studies for the sales process.
- Creating Keynote presentations for the Sales or Partnerships team.
- Proof-checking data and sources.
- Being adaptable, dealing with a varied and challenging range of requests from across the business.
The Person
- No previous experience necessary.
- Degree 2:1 level or above in relevant subject preferable (e.g. History, Maths, Economics).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage large data sets and pick out positive data to craft a compelling story.
- Strong desk and internet research skills, with a willingness to find new data/research.
- A dependable and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to think logically and strategically.
- Determination and commitment when working through large pieces of work.
- A team-player, able to collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Club.
- The ability to work in an independent and self-confident manner.
- Confident in the operation of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience using Keynote preferable but not essential.
- A good degree of business acumen and the ability to spot commercial opportunities.
- Candidate should demonstrate pride and passion in working for Manchester United.
