What is the Commercial Graduate Scheme?


You’ll embark on a two-year training programme and get involved in our mission to help our customers save energy, reduce their bills and their carbon footprint.


By offering innovative solutions from Smart homes through to electric vehicles, we’re building a customer experience to help champion a low-carbon lifestyle and enable the UK to achieve net zero.


Throughout your time with us, you’ll learn from our experts, gain valuable experience, build your confidence and develop your commercial focus; helping you to decide where you’d like to specialise in the future.


Our previous Commercial graduates have gone on to become; Marketing and Insight Manager, Senior Manager of Business Development and Residential & SME Sales Director.

We’re passionate about your development and offer a tailored training path that will help develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours, both during the scheme and in your future career.


Previous Commercial graduates have been involved in projects supporting our Portfolio Hedging Team, where they were able to get involved analysing the drivers of market changes, reporting on profit and loss and understanding how and why trading decisions are made.


You could also be supporting the operation and development of our digital marketing channels; being responsible for presenting results on your channel and identifying upcoming risks/opportunities to senior stakeholders.


You’ll also have mentors and industry experts to give you endless advice along the way!

To join our team you’ll need:


  • 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree (obtained or expected) in any discipline
  • Commercial understanding, analytical abilities, communication skills and a talent for leadership
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Passion for working in a customer-focused environment
