Where in the world of OVO will I be working?
You'll be working as part of the Commercial Export team where our aim is to drive the uptake of micro renewable equipment to decarbonise homes. Within the area we are responsible for our renewable schemes; Feed in Tariff and Smart Export Guarantee, while also supporting the wider export products, services and Zero Carbon Living solutions.
As the Commercial Compliance Manager you'll play a key role in achieving our vision of creating clean, affordable energy for everyone.
What will I be doing?
Reporting to our Commercial Export Lead, you will ensure that all activities relating to the compliance within our obligations under the schemes and industry are upheld and ensure a positive reputation for the OVO brand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Effectively managing the compliance of our renewable schemes
- Planning and leading on all audits, submissions and third party requests
- Reporting our monthly/quarterly data to our finance business partner
- Monitoring our operational teams to ensure activities are inline with our supplier obligations
- Monitoring operational performance and impact on Levelisation/Obligations/Trading agreements
- Identifying and handling commercial risks, issues and opportunities. Implementing mitigating actions and escalating as required
- Conducting thorough checks to ensure the timely identification of any fraud in the scheme
- Monitoring live issues and progressing them through to resolution as quickly as possible to minimise negative impact
- Establishing and managing robust relationships with third parties, internal operations and stakeholders, including regular communication with our regulator
- Escalation and relationship management of operational SLA adherence
- Facilitating and driving collaboration between the commercial and operations
- Work closely with the business to understand their key challenges
- Support and guide the successful build of our export system, GreenHub, ensuring that processes and outputs are in compliance with our regulatory schemes.
- Provide support and training for members of the Commercial Export team.
- Be tenacious and curious in everything we do as Commercial and Energy teams
- Be an advocate for other ZCL solutions within the business
Is this the job for me?
Ideally the successful candidate should have the following;
- Prior experience in Renewable Schemes
- Deep knowledge of our obligations and industry compliance
- Experience leading in a highly regulated area
- Experience leading on internal and external audits
- Ability to communicate with different levels of stakeholders
- Experience working with product development and technology teams is preferred
- Able to operate at a high level independently
- Skilled at writing with an ability to explain complex topics and issues in a way that is accessible to a wide range of audiences
- Adaptable and flexible approach to plans and able to respond confidently and positively to changing scenarios
