The Commercial Analyst will support the ongoing development of the company’s commercial strategy. The successful candidate will work in the Commercial Operations Team, responsible for Power Operations and commercial analysis covering the UK and Europe. The role will monitor real time performance of the commercial and operations systems and include daily reporting to senior management. This will included providing market and economic analysis to identify revenue optimisation opportunities and developing commercial strategy. The role will involve building relationships with external counterparties and stakeholder businesses within the European Power Markets. To be considered for this role you should have: Good knowledge of UK and European electricity market drivers ideally in an analytical or operational role. You should have good knowledge of cross border trading arrangements in the UK and of interconnector operations. In addition experience of IT systems would be an advantage. You will have strong communications skills (both written and verbal) and strong presentation skills. The role will also require strong analytical and problem solving skills. In addition a strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timescales is also important. They are looking for a team player who is also able to work on their own.
