Role Description:
Ringtons specialise in producing high quality tea and coffee products and operates out of Balliol Park, Longbenton. Trading for in excess of 116 years and employing over 500 staff the Ringtons business has shown significant growth in recent years.
Following a significant investment in excess of £1m in 2021 the coffee division is growing and now requires a new team member to help us build this business even further.
This is a hands-on role that will require the successful applicant to be directly involved in the roasting and packing of fresh coffee as well as the efficient running of the plant. As the business grows the key duties will evolve but will initially consist of:
· Management of Green Coffee using computer based full plant control system
· Roasting of raw coffee to prescribed recipes
· Operation of packing lines for both bean and ground in various pack permutations
· Administrative duties to process and track orders
· Monitoring of weekly KPI’s
· Working in partnership with the Ringtons Brand sales channels
Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate that has experience in working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
IT literacy and a flexible approach are essential due to the nature of the work and working hours. Much of the plant is computer controlled and the applicant needs to be comfortable operating multi-facetted production software. The role also involves an element of physical work. A history in coffee production and fork lift licences would be desirable, but are by no means essential as all specialised aspects of the role will be trained in house.
