The Department of Magic situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s old town is #1 in bars and nightlife in all of Edinburgh on TripAdvisor and offers a unique and magical cocktail experience. We are seeking an experienced team member who thrives in a fast-paced unique potions cocktail bar and can lead a growing team to deliver outstanding service to our customers. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to our overall potions cocktail experience, action themed events and our seasonal offering and provide a unique experience for customers.

- Weekends and evenings are our busy times; we offer flexible shift patterns with regular Friday, Saturday night and August availability being essential with the option of full time hours.
- We pay all staff the real Living Wage, with hourly rates beyond this based on skills and experience, plus other benefits including complimentary show tickets, workplace pension (if applicable), training support and automatic holiday pay top-up each month into your salary. - We’re looking for people who have experience of similar settings in hospitality or business either as venue staff, bar tender, cocktail bartender, supervisor or hospitality position.
- We run a tight ship and time management is critical, so the right candidates will be outgoing and energetic with great reporting, communication and planning skills. Equally, as an independent, locally owned business, this is a huge opportunity for an ambitious and creative individual to play a key part in our next period of growth.
