Coating Operative

The Company
A well-established electronics manufacturer.
The Role
This position will be responsible for the coating, inspection and touch-up to the surfaces of printed circuit boards, utilising specific surface preparation and coating techniques and fully comply with the required build standards.
- Conformal coating of PCBs ensuring all processes are stringently adhered to and any gaps or suggestions for process improvements are made to your immediate supervisor
- Preparation of solvent-based materials in line with manufacturer’s instructions
- Ability to accurately identify coating material to ensure correct material always used
- Masking and de-masking and cleaning, as needed
- Adherence to work instructions
- Accurate setting of temperature controls on ovens
- Maintenance of accurate production records
- Routine cleaning and maintenance of tools
- Compliance with the company H&S and Quality standards and procedures
- Able to programme conformal coating machines
- Able to mentor others
The Candidate
Previous experience of conformal coating in an electronic manufacturer essential
Certification to IPC-A-610 desirable
Able to follow Customer Drawings
ESD Awareness
Attention to detail
Team Player
Excellent communication skills
