You’ll be part of the delivery of our new Digital, Data and IT Strategy – involved in all areas of our Technical Operations activities, including cyber security, digital and website assurance, business continuity processes, and maintaining our information asset register. You’ll work with many different areas of the business, designing and delivering new systems as well as decommissioning legacy systems – picking up skills in a growing area along the way.

The role

You’ll be the first point of contact to help colleagues and external partners who are involved with set-up, changes or close down of digital services, both internal and customer-facing.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing team mailboxes and the Scottish Enterprise Business Support group requests. You’ll be the first point of contact for Technical Operations.
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal colleagues as part of the assurance, security and management of our digital services.
  • Applying the Scottish Government Digital Scotland Service Standards to new and existing digital services.
  • Planning, organising and supporting delivery of our mandatory cyber security training.
  • Preparing communications to support and raise awareness of our work.
  • Collaborating and engaging at all levels to plan and support the maintenance of our Information and Systems Asset Register.
  • Completing compliance checks across our public facing assets.

Who we're looking for

You will have excellent communication skills and will be eager and willing to learn new skills to better support Scottish Enterprise in our digital delivery. You’ll have an analytical mindset with strong attention to detail but also awareness of the bigger picture to manage and prioritise activity. A customer centric approach is essential.

Your skills, abilities and experience should include:

  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communications capabilities
  • Understanding of digital service design and their benefits and impact to SE and customers
  • Comfortable self-managing to deliver on competing demands, according to priorities
  • Able to collect information and make decisions that are supported by evidence


Ideally, but not essentially, you’ll also have:

  • Experience preparing and providing management reports
  • Knowledge of agile project delivery techniques
  • Collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
