The Role
The role is for an experienced Toolmaker; you will be responsible for building & developing new progression, single stage press tools and internal jigs and fixtures for our clients internal manufacturing processes. The client is a leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying into industries including automotive, aerospace & medical.
- Building and developing single stage, progression press tools and jigs/fixtures.
- Manual milling & manual turning using conventional machinery to manufacture & maintain a wide range of tooling.
- Using your knowledge to review and improve technical drawings/instructions for tooling with the design team.
- Repairs and maintenance to existing tools.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes;
You will ideally be a time-served Toolmaker. It is essential that you have several years of experience in manufacturing & maintaining tooling with conventional milling & manual turning machines. You will preferably have experience in working with a variety of metal materials & ideally will have a background in the automotive, aerospace, engraving or medical sectors – although other industry experience will be equally considered.
