General Scope and Purpose
To be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.
To provide professional, friendly and efficient Reception service to all guests & members of the Club & Spa, whilst achieving maximum revenue and guest satisfaction. To maintain standards of hospitality as laid down by hotel and company policies and procedures.
To promote the Valor Hospitality Europe Limited purpose, values and behaviours at all times
Responsibilities:
1. To welcome all guests & members on their arrival and assist them in a courteous, helpful manner with registration and access when checking into the Club & Spa.
2. To assist guests & Members throughout their stay in a friendly and professional manner, informing the Guest Relations Manager of any complaints.
3. To be fully aware of the hotel cash handling and credit procedures and to report any discrepancies to your Supervisor immediately.
4. To operate the Club & Spa switchboard, answering it to the company standard, ensuring that all messages and enquiries are correctly handled and processed onto the booking systems immediately.
5. To be constantly aware of the Club & Spa availability in order to maximise all opportunities to sell treatments & access to the Club.
6. To monitor all guest accounts and to make sure all charges posted are correct with supporting documentation.
7. To assist the Club Sales department where applicable.
8. To take a bookings according to company standard during periods when the Spa Reception is unmanned or busy, ensuring all necessary information is completed and recorded accurately.
9. To upsell all hotel facilities within the hotel to guests & members, e.g. room service, bar etc. To be fully aware of all functions and facilities within the hotel, i.e. opening/closing times of breakfast/dinner.
10. To ensure good working relationships with colleagues in the Club & Spa area and other departments of the hotel.
11. To ensure the security of guest valuables, departmental keys and floats. This to include ensuring company procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.
12. To deal with guest enquiries, either by fax, telephone, letter or verbally.
