Product Support Engineer

Must be willing to work a shift rotation during weekdays and provide on call cover during nights and weekends when required.

We are looking for a Product Support Engineer to join an existing team of devs to work on cloud-based solutions. The role is fully remote working as the company are based in Malta. The salary is 35k – 45k euros and the successful candidate will be hired on a fixed term contract basis and will be responsible for their own taxes and national insurance.We expect the candidate to have at least 3+ years commercial experience.

The Cloud Product Support Engineer will form part of the Product Engineering department for a large SaaS product. You will be the primary escalation point for incidents that require in depth knowledge of the application, working with development teams to mitigate and resolve incidents that have made it through all levels of support. You will be constantly analysing logs, metrics, application traces, configuration files and even code.

The primary focus will be on incident mitigation, however you will also be responsible for root cause analysis and the eventual raising of bugs with the appropriate development teams. Furthermore, you’ll also be involved in the improvement of troubleshooting guides, pro-active monitoring and logging such that incidents are resolved faster or avoided completely in the future

Key skills required

  • Supporting Cloud SAAS Products
  • Familiar with ticketing systems
  • Understanding of REST, SQL
  • Understanding of ASP.NET

  • Azure Services
  • Azure DevOps

It is essential that all Cloud Product Support Engineers have first class communication skills – both written and verbal. Product Support Engineers will be very enthusiastic and have a desire to succeed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
