Job Description
U.S. Bank is implementing a cloud-first strategy to support our enabling of speed to market, our enhanced productivity and standardization, and long-term cost optimization. We have our strategy established, and we are looking to bring an experienced, hands-on, and highly technical leader to build, drive, executive, and accelerate this strategy.
Given the U.S. Bank’s investment in this effort and the timelines to deliver at increased speed and scale, we need a visible executive who can lead and build our cloud services team. They will be responsible for driving our acceleration to the public cloud. They will oversee the build of our cloud services, the defining of our cloud adoption and migration plan with controls, the relationship management and integration with risk and security, defining our cloud adoption (and migration plan with controls) to build the platforms that development teams can leverage and integrating cloud monitoring & support tools into the enterprise fabric.
This leader and team will actively assist development groups as they build cloud-based services and applications and provide relevant platform support.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience in a technology execution or leadership role
- Strong, hands-on experience with AWS and Azure, including migrating workloads to the public cloud for large enterprises
- 8-10 years of engineering management experience leading productive high functioning teams
- Expertise in public cloud-based tools and software
- Experience running production services in public cloud.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and development, platform development and operations
- Strong track record in driving results, ability to move fast, build in increments and iterate

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
