We are currently recruiting for some experienced Closing Room Operatives based in our factory in Northampton on permanent contract.
The successful candidate must have experience of the following and ideally also the ability to undertake other tasks within the Prep room.
· Seaming,
· Rub and tape,
· Zig-zag / whipping machine,
· Beading and binding,
· Flat, post and twin machine (including fancy stitching),
· Eyeleting
The main expectations from the candidate are the following:
· Produce work to the highest quality,
· Proactive and using his/her own initiatives,
· Produce volumes in accordance with the company expectation ensuring customer deadlines are met at all times,
· Ensure own machinery is fully functional and refer to Engineer if any issues,
· Maintain a neat and tidy environment,
· Ensure work is not ‘passed on’ if there are any defects
The following skills, knowledge, and abilities will be needed by a prospective factory worker to be able to perform his/her duties effectively:
· Good general standard of education
· Knowledge of the Shoe Industry and its products
· Acceptable knowledge of Health and Safety principles
· Capability to understand expectations regarding quality
· Ability to utilise diverse machines and possession of practical aptitude
· Sound communication aptitude in delivering beneficial teamwork
· Must be a team player, with attention to detail
